Jackson was tired of the town he had been staying in for the past few weeks, he had busked at all the corners and had coffee all the cafés and was feeling like a bit of good old, pure and simple nature, not the hustle and bustle of the city life, so he set off to find a nice quiet place to rest up. After a brief wander around the town’s perimeter he was disappointed to find that there was very little in the way of natural beauty on the outskirts of town, it was mostly all plains and short grass, not even a decent tree in sight. It was a little disheartening really.
So, having nothing else to do, he stopped by the town’s small information booth and soon learned of a waterfall that fed the river which was the towns water supply. Now that was more like it. He thanked the woman and pulled a daisy out of thin air and gave it to her as thanks, after that he left by the main road and soon found the river, he followed it a short way and found himself suddenly at the waterfall. It wasn’t anything huge but it had a nice feel, it was about seven meters to the top and poured into a small grove with boulders around the edges of a pond that turned into the river, there were even trees around the grove. It was just the place to revitalise your spirits.
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, it was then that he saw the boy laying on the edge of the water, deep in thought.
He smiled and walked along the opposite bank, he didn’t want to disturb the young man's train of thought but he still wanted to get a closer look at the fall. He reached the base of the waterfall and stood there, eyes closed feeling the refreshing spray of the water on his face. This place was timeless, you could lose yourself here.
