Yeah, Higurashi is not exactly a friendly anime.. It's really just the anime version of 'All the worst ways to die'.

I love the Higurashi series (both the anime and manga). The English translation for the OVA came out awhile ago and it was amazing. *^*

I honestly think the manga is better than the anime for Higurashi. What I have to hate about it though is that it's never really explained until the 2nd season of the anime how everyone keeps dying then being alive as if none of that ever happened.

Anime is very confusing lolz.

It is confusing, but when the 2nd season starts off the pieces of the puzzle start making sense (well after ep 3 anyway). And as for the OVA I thought it was awesome!
