Long Way From Home

Katie looked around at the small village nervously and then kept walking till she entered the woods again. She followed a small dirt road. Everything was wet and mildewy. It was 5 am in the morning the sun barely coming up as she walked deeper into the woods.

Connor sat on one of the branches of the trees his gun resting another branch. Being a summer Faery was dreadful in the human world. Everyone wanted to pick at him like a labrat. When he saw the girl he hid keeping his gun at his side and softly growling hoping she'd pass quickly.

Raiden yawned loudly was he wondered down path. "Stupid mission" he muttered to himself, annoyed at the fact he was up at this time of day. He was given a mission in the next town over and was head over there. He slowly kept walking, his sleepy eyes barely able to keep away, until he noticed something, His whole body shot to life, as saw what it was. "A girl" he said to himself as he wonder over her, as he called, "Hey". He wasn't sure if he should approach, but he was bored, and figured 'Why not?'

Katie stopped short nervous. Should she run? She wasn't a people person. Being a winter faery made that clear. Winter Faery's were never social and this guy could possibly be human someone who could drain her very life force away.
She decided to keep her cool. "Uh hi..." she managed to squeak out.

Connor rolled his eyes. "Bloody hell," he muttered. He wanted the girl to leave..not have some romance time on his turf. But as he watched he realized the girl was either frightened or nervous.

"I didn't except many people to out this time of day" he said with a smile, trying to relax her, but at the same time he couldn't sake the feeling he was being watched by someone. Raiden wasn't about to drop his guard, as he took a quick glace around, but could see any one, whoever it was, there were good at hiding.

"Ummm...." Katie didn't know what to say. She had been exiled from the never never from falling in love with a vampire. The vampire had taken what he wanted. Her blood now she was barely a soul grasping for life. She should be dead if the boy came near her what would happen then!

A gust of wind blew by and Connor smelled snow and winter roses. He glared at the girl and gasped. No way! She was just like him an exile! A winter faery! Connor wanted to jump out to speak with her but couldn't. Humans were deadly to them, if that boy got close...she could die. Connor aimed his gun at the boy hoping he didn't have to shoot.

Raiden felt the killing intent of whoever was watching him, he wasn't sure if they after him or her. "You look busy, sorry to bother you" he said with a soft smile, "Safe travels". He wasn't sure what was going on, he needed to find whoever was watching him, and get some answers, if even if he had to beat it of them. Strom clouds rolled, and lightning could be seen over the horizon, "Perfect" he muttered to himself, as he dashed off looking the person watching him

Katie watched the boy run past her shocked. She whimpered lucky to still be alive. The adrenline rush in her made her knees wobbly and she fell. For a long time she sat on the dirt ground curled up whimpering.

Connor saw his chance and jumped out from the trees, shotgun in hand. "Hello winter faery."
The girl looked at him her mouth open about to scream. He quickly clamped his hand over her mouth. "None of that girl. Don't worry I'm just like you...only summer faery..." He removed his hand from the girls mouth and he watched as she smiled. She hugged him. "I haven't seen fey in long time too," he said laughing.
That's how fey were. Always friendly too each other. But was this girl exiled like him? He was worried bout the human it was obvious he knew Connor was around. "Come on let's try to creep away before humans catch up..." he said strapping the shot gun around him like a archry bow.

Raiden searched the area, but the killing intent had completely disappeared, "What's going on?" he asked himself. Thinking over the events, he only got that feeling while he was talking to that girl, as soon as he away from her, it vanished. Raiden's eyes narrowed, "The girl" he said to himself, something was up with her, and he is going to find out what

Katie nodded and followed the boy releasing him from the embrace. "Are you with the human?" she asked.

Connor shook his head. "Nope," he said. "I thought you were."
Connor led her deeper into the woods far away from human smell. If the human caught up with him now he'd be able to hurt Connor. Connor felt the weakness of being around humans already. He looked up at the sky, storm was coming, just as he thought of it rain started to softly come down.
"Let's find shelter, and make sure human boy isn't catching up okay?" he said.
The girl nodded and they went off the path.

Raiden hurried back, but he gone down the wrong path, and now was completely lost, "God damn it" he said under his breath. Looking around he couldn't see a thing that looked familiar, until he spotted a dirt track, "It'll do" he said as he dashed down it

(awwwwe lelu your not the bad guy, my character is just not a social person. hehehe and Datsik being the evil one here I mean he's the one with the gun and all....)

(I'm just being greedy and kidnapping her so I can have her all to myself and Raiden can't mwahahahaahhha jk jk)

Katie turned around and looked down the trail, sensing the human boy some where near. "Is it true?" she asked. "Can us faeries really die if we are touched by humans? I don't see anything wrong with the mortal, I'm just scared to be near one, my father told me scary stories about how humans like war and violence."

Connor turned to face her. "Well your father is right... but not all humans are like that. Are you willing to stand here and take that chance to find out if that human boy is bad or not?" It didn't matter what the winter faery girl said now, he saw the boy running through the woods right towards them.

Raiden kept searching, until he spotted them in a small clearing, but this time the girl was with another boy, Raiden just assumed that he was the one watching him. He stopped and slowly walked over to them, trying not to look threatening, as he approached them. With no idea what to say or do, he said, "Er.....what's up guys?" he said nervously, he had the feeling he was cause of allot trouble.

Katie stared at him wide eyed. "Are you human?" she asked.
She felt Connor glare at her, and she shrunk back. Well she had just given herself away, her sad expression turned even more darker as the water on her cheeks from the rain started to turn to frost, proving even more that she was winter faery.

"I am a human, but also a mage" he said answering he question, but he couldn't help but notice that she moved back when he looked at her, something was up. "May I ask who you are?" he asked

"I'm a..."
Connor quickly jumped between them. "That would be none of your buissness mortal!" he snarled. "Your deadly to our kind. Mage or not!"
