Just Another Day (Katie Kwon)

Luke wanders through the human city, walking multiple blocks towards his house as he just left a restaurant, and had no car. He sighs just thinking about it, wondering what was keeping him away from being an ordinary, human being. As a supernatural, yes, Luke could travel through time and space, and yes, he could get to his house in a second, yet he was forgetting how to live ordinarily, and so he chose to act like one without magic. "Tough day." Luke mutters.

Katie had finished her out job at the local high school gym, her time was cut short as there was a school event being hosted on the gym so she had to cut lessons short. Katie was thinking about going to the bar and giving them a hand, but she wasn't in the mood to deal with drunks and like. So she decided to take the long route back home, afraid that she would bump into her younger sister LeeHi, who would blame alex and the school for not informing her of the event, and she would most likely call the sports teacher up and lector him about informing... well more like yelling, not lecturing. If she had to bump into any of them, it would be Mia, Mia would keep it to herself and nor go on about it. But in this hour they should both be at work, so they should never find out.

Luke continues to walk until he notices a brunette heading towards another house. He was surprised to see a pedestrian in the area he lived in. Normally, everyone drove here or took a bus. Simply put, this wasn't an area recognized for walking. As Luke chooses to continue managing himself without magic, he takes out his soccer ball, and begins juggling it on his feet. A sudden car driving by scares him, however, causing him to have a nerve spasm, and kick the ball towards the girl. "Look out!" He shouts.

Lost in own thought her reaction time was a bit late, she tuned round to meet a ball hitting her face. The impact made her fall down and lightly scrape her hands, she could feel the blood running down her nose. Still sitting down she looked at the scrapes slowly disappearing and within a few seconds disappear completely and that was. With a tissue from her pocket she cleaned her face from the blood and picked up the ball to give to the owner. "Here you go, I think this belongs to you." she said as she crossed the street to join him.

"I'm sorry." Luke confesses, frowning as he saw the ball collide with Katie's face. However, it made Luke wonder how quickly Katie was able to recover. He saw the whole scene, with scrapes and bruises, but now, there was nothing. Luke carefully takes the ball and looks directly into Katie's eyes. He smiles as he notices Katie is alright. "My name is Luke. How are you?" Luke greets.

Passing the ball back to him, Katie answered his question, "I'm fine thanks you, it's honestly not the first time I've been knocked down by  ball." she said, almost forgetting to introduce herself, "Katie.Thats my name." she added quickly. Unlike her other sisters she wasn't as social or good with people.

"Nice to meet you, Katie!" Luke replies happily, "While I'm here, would you like to join me in grabbing something to eat. It's passing noon, and I'm getting quite hungry." Luke looks over to Katie in joy. He could see that she was a kind character already, and saw potential between the two. "It'll be fun!" Luke adds teasingly.

Katie was taken back by his request, she wasn't expecting to be asked to hang out with a person she barely knew the person, but she didn't really have anything else to do right now. she debated in her mind on what to do. Biting the bottom of her lip she came up with her decision, "um I guess so." was her answer.

"We don't have to go if you don't want to..." Luke replies, "I just felt bad after hitting you with that soccer ball, and feel like I should do something for you in return." Luke steps back for a moment to let Katie think again. He was trying to be as friendly as possible while he had this rare chance to meet someone. After all, not many travel here nowadays.

"Oh, no, um it's okay." she replied quickly. she had nothing else to do apart from continue her long walk home. So why not try and socialise for a bit instead.

Luke gives Katie a confused look, unsure of how to respond to her comment. "So, is that a yes or no?" Luke confirms. After asking his question, Luke realizes that he had yet to start a casual conversation. All he was doing was being straightforward with Katie, and trying to get her to accompany. He leaves the question aside. "By the way, how were you before this accident?" Luke asks jokingly.

"Um no it's fine. Getting some food sounds fine." she said quickly after a short pause, "Um yeah, sorry. I'm not really that social at times." She added after another pause, she felt like an idiot. the only good trait she could think of that she had that her sisters didn't was her fitness level, the rest belong to them.

Luke smiles as he could confirm that Katie was prepared to eat with him. "Follow me." Luke advised, "There's a good place we can dine at over here." Luke was pointing to the north as he said this. Close to where the two lived was a newly built, multicultural fine dining restaurant. It was expensive, though with Luke's financial stature, he could handle it.

Katie followed him to the café, she stayed two steps behind, not really sure on what to say. Se cold send a text to Mia, but she would be busy studying, then there is Lee, who would end up stalking them. "I don't come down this way a lot, so I never knew of this place." It was the only thing she could think of.

"You'll love this place. Trust me!" Luke confirms, waving his arm towards the restaurant ahead. There were signs everywhere about many famous foods from around the world; all served at this restaurant. "This place is fairly new, hence why you probably haven't heard of it." Luke explains, "Here, you can seat yourself, and there is also a tablet to order so you don't have to wait all the time; only for food." Luke smiles towards Katie and hopes she'll smile in response to hearing about the restaurant. It was a fancy place, anyways, and Luke assured she'd enjoy herself here.

Katie looked and read all the signs of food from around the world, "I see." she said when she told that this place was new, it explains one of the two reasons on why she never knew of this place. "That is different." she said when she heard about the tablet, she was used to having someone come up and serve, or being the one doing that being a former waitress herself.

Luke seats himself and opens the menu. He invites Katie to sit with him as he skims through the choices on the tablet. "What kind of good are you into?" Luke asks, "Personally, I'm into meat, pasta or salad." Luke then looks curiously towards Katie, awaiting a response from her. He already had his wallet prepared to pay for the food.

"anything really, depends on my mood and what's on offer." She replied as she took her seat and skimmed the menu.

Luke smiles and nods, considering the fact that he had never put such thought into a menu before. In fact, Luke was often the type to choose a different dish every time he came to a restaurant; he was, and still is, a man of variety. "Well, take your time." Luke suggests, "I'm going to order a drink." With this being said, Luke orders a cherry coke.

Katie looked at the list of drinks and picked one from the tablet, she choice a simple ice tea, she looked back at the menu, "What have you tried from here?" She asked curious on others opinions on the food.

Luke smiled when Katie finally made a decision. The drinks were ordered, though in this restaurant, everything had to be ordered on the spot before customers awaited their beverages. "The last thing I can recall ordering is the carbonara pasta." Luke replied, "It's really good, in my opinion, though I'm not sure what kind of cuisines you're into. Italian? Japanese?" Luke scrolls down on the tablet and sees the appetizers. He looked at Katie curiously and asked: "Do you want any of these?"

She looked at the list of foods, "Are you sure they won't be too much, to go through all the courses I mean?" Katie asked, she wasn't expecting a big meal like this.

"It's no problem." Luke replied simply. He sat there, and still waited for Katie to pick a course or two to go with her meal. On the contrary, Luke would follow afterwards with his order. He rested his head on his left hand, his left elbow on the table. He smiled to Katie while he waited patiently for her to order.

After making her mind up she picked her meal off the tablet. "done, are you sure this thing work?" she asked.

"Of course!" Luke smiled, pressing the "Submit" button after both had made their orders. Twenty or so minutes later, the food arrived, every order correct as requested, along with the drinks. Luke was starving by then, and so he immediately dug into the food.
