Just Another Day (Katie Kwon)

Once her food had arrived Katie started to eat. She had forgotten to ask for it be cooked medium rare but it didn't really matter that much to her.

Luke finished his drink quickly and saw that his appetizer had been eaten, as well. He looked ahead of him, and saw Katie's food. It looked so delicious. Luke wiped his mouth with his napkin before he asked "Are you enjoying your food?"

"It's fine," she replied, "I just forgot to aks for a few changes to the dish, but it is still edible so it's okay." She continued as she finished the dish she ordered.

"Well, if you can wait for a bit, I'm sure a server will make your changes." Luke suggested, "This isn't all electronic, after all." Luke proceeded to eat his main course, and ate it slowly to enjoy every bite. He was worried that Katie didn't like the food due to her broad comments moments ago. "I was hoping you would have a fun time here..." Luke remarked, frowning.

"It's no big deal, besides i'm finished anyway." she laughed, "I've just gotten a bit fussy these days with food. I'm sure I'll get over it later on." She continued as she replied to his first remark, "It is a nice place."

"Thank goodness." Luke laughed, "You seem too nice to disappoint." Luke blushed a bit after this comment. It was type that tended to escape his lips accidentally, though for some odd reason, Luke didn't mentally slap himself for it. He wondered what Katie would think about the compliment. He smiled even brighter when Katie complimented the building. "It's wonderful." Luke added to Katie's comment of the restaurant.

Katie wasn't sure how to respond to his first comment, "Um, thanks. I guess." She wasn't sure whether it was a random comment or a compliant, "Excuse me for the moment." She said as she stood up and headed towards the bathroom with her bag.

Luke nodded his head and blushed in embarrassment after Katie went to the bathroom. "Did I do something wrong?" He thought aloud. He made himself comfortable on his chair while he waited for Katie to return, trying to lift the embarrassment off his back.

Closing and locking the door she pulled out a bottle of water and her medications. She wasn't a fan of taking them out in public. Popping two red pills in her hand she quickly swallowed them with the water before placing the medication and water bottle back in her bag. With a quick check of her reflection in the mirror, Katie left the bathroom.

Luke waited patiently for Katie until she arrived. He sat there curiously, and wondered what was happening. "Everything alright?" He asked before he looked down at the table. He had forgotten everything was all finished, yet his stomach didn't feel that full. Albeit, the two couldn't just eat at a restaurant all day.

"Yeah, everythings fine." She replied as she took her seat.

Luke gave Katie an awkward look while he signed the bill given to him by the waitress, twenty dollars added to the tip for this grand meal. He stood up, and looked at Katie curiously. "Shall we be going?" Luke asks jokingly.

"Yes, I'm sure my sisters will be waiting for me since it's so late in the afternoon already." She said as she grabbed her bag and stood up.

"Sisters? Well then, see you tomorrow!" Luke concluded. He proceeded to the exit of the restaurant, then opened the door for Katie to leave before him.

Katie smiled a thankyou as she walked out. Instead of continuing with taking the long way home, she decided to catch the bus. That way her sisters an other siblings wouldn't have to worry too much about why she was late.
