lance looks over "am guessing we're swimming over there aren't we?" he brings up his md covered lance "i just cleaned ths too.." he sighs and puts it into a holder on his back.

"It's not that far. Now swim!" Cantabile said going back to her demanding self. Cantabile began to swim towards the city.

lance chuckles and nods. he swims quickly toward the city it only took a few minutes and he climbs up on to the land. he looks around slightly amazed.

Cantabile got on land. "It's hard to believe that the legends were true..."

lance looks at her "legends? what kind of legends?"

"The ancient in habitants to this planet have a legend. According to the legend I'm thinking of now, this is called the Qliphoth. The world that we've been living on for 2000 years now, is called the outer lands."

lance looks around "this is amazing but why is the land from the 'outer lands' sinking down here?"

"The legend states that the Sephiroth Trees, pillars that hold up the outer lands, will fail and the outer lands will sink into the Qliphoth and cause the near destruction of the planet if they aren't lowered correctly. But the legend shouldn't be coming true for another 10,000 years! Someone is forcing the Sephiroth Trees to stop working."
Cantabile said looking around. Far away some masses of land could be seen, probably the towns that fell.

lance looks around "thats horrible we have to stop this!" he growls unhappily at the thought of someone destroying the world.

"Are you sure that it's them?" An old man said from behind Cantabile and Lance.
"Yes grand father, they match the description perfectly." A woman, probably early 20's said also behind Cantabile and Lance said.
Cantabile turned to see who the people were. Cantabile and the woman looked shocked to see each other. "Kessho..."
"Cantabile..." The woman said. It seemed like the two knew each other.

lance looks between the two and at the old man. "uuhh do you two know each other cantabile?"

"Yes. I was born in Yulia city, the first city that sank here. And this is Yulia city. Kessho and I were friends in a small war. Kessho was one of the people who were in the first city that sank. I thought you died Kessho!" Cantabile said with tears in her eyes. They were close friends clearly.
Kessho walked up and hugged Cantabile, Kessho kissed Cantabile on the cheek. "I know... I'm sorry for worrying Cantabile.."

lance smiles happy to see them reunited. "am happy for you too.."

Kessho kissed Cantabile on the lips. Cantabile blushed deeply.
"Kessho.. I'm sorry.. but I don't do that anymore.." Cantabile said looking at Kessho.

lance blushes deeply and looks at the ground slightly embarrassed.

Kessho sighed. "It's alright. I'm guessing that Aslan got you?"
Cantabile grit her teeth and looked at Kessho. "Aslan's dead... He's been dead for a few years now.."

lance looks up surprised. he looked between two unsure if he could do or say anything to make the situation better.

"Oh god... I'm so sorry... I know you two were together for a long time..." Kessho said.
"It's fine... I think that I've moved on..." Cantabile said looking at lance, then back at Kessho.

lance blinks and blushes lightly. he looks away acting like he was trying to find something interesting.

Kessho smiled.
"We can talk more in the meeting room. Come on, both of you." The old man said leading everyone to the meeting room in Yulia city.

lance walks next to cantabile with his arms behind his head. he looks are the meeting room.

Kessho's grand father sat at the head of the table, Kessho took the seat to the right of her grand father, and Cantabile took the seat to the left, across from Kessho.
"Grand Maestro Mohs is lowering the outer lands." The old man said bluntly.
"What! On what grounds do you have to say that!" Cantabile snapped back.
"Cantabile, it's either him or it's Yulia Jue. Those are the only two people who have the ability to work the pillars." Kessho said.
"I know that the Grad Maestro is trying to start a war between Malkuth and Kimlasca, but I doubt that he would do something so vile! It has to be someone else!" Cantabile seemed to really want to protect Mohs of such an accusation, it was a wonder why though, on the air ship it sounded like Cantabile would love for the things that the old man and Kessho were saying about Mohs to be true.

lance stood behind cantabile and looks between everyone.

"The only other person who could lower the lands is dead. Tear Grants died over 1000 years ago. Unless she rose from the sea of mud and miasma, then I'm afraid it would have to be your-" The old man was stopped by Cantabile pointing her sword at the old mans throat.
"Nobody needs to be reminded of what you were about to say. We are all familiar with what role Mohs plays in my life, as much as I dislike it, it's true nonetheless." Cantabile said seeming to want to keep whatever relationship that Mohs and Cantabile had a secret from Lance.

lance blinks and looks at cantabile. "cantabile...." he wasn't sure what to do or say. he wanted her to calm down.
